This attractive and detailed panorama of London viewed from the south, extends from White Hall in the west to St Katharine's in the east. Printed on two sheets joined. Detail extends northwards to the hills of Hampstead and Harrow in the distance. A 43 point numbered key identifies churches and buildings of note - including Shakespeare's Globe in Southwark. London Bridge is the only bridge at this time, but the river is otherwise populated with "The Cell Shipes" and other craft. The panorama also shows a distinctive (and incorrect!) north turn in the Thames immediately below the Tower of London. The royal arms and the arms of the City appear in opposing corners at the top of the page. This pre-Fire panorama was published in "Neuwe Archontologia Cosmica ...". Good strong impression, this example printed evenly across both plates and so well worth close inspection.
