A detailed chart of the north west African mainland coast from Mamora to Cape de Geer in two sections and inset plans of Fayal, St.Michael's and Angra on the Azores and of Madeira and Porto Santo. This rare chart appeared in "De Lichtende Columne" one of the many Dutch pilot books describing the voyages from Europe into the Atlantic. Anthonie Jacobsz founded the publishing house later known by the name Lootsman, differentiating his business from that of another printer in Amsterdam of the same name. This is a good example in a strong impression with just an extended protective lower margin.
