Late printing of Mercator's version of Ptolemy's map of Central North Africa, with a second title added within the map. Mercator's plates are regarded, technically, as the finest set of Ptolemaic maps to appear in print. Extending from Algeria to Algeria, the map includes the southern coasts of Sardinia, Sicily and all Malta and Gozo.
