With bright original colour, this is a good example of one of the sectional maps prepared by Gerhard Mercator, the great cartographer, for inclusion in "Atlas". All Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Lincolnshire, Staffordshire and Norfolk appear in good detail, while there is a large formal titlepiece at top right. Light marginal staining but map area good.
