An attractive and well-known portrait of Tycho Brahe and his assistants showing the quadrant in use from "Tychonis Brahe Astronomiae Instauratea Mechanica". Brahe invented the majority of his instruments with his wall quadrant enabling one to observe very accurately the passage of the stars.
