Middlesex : R.Miller / R.Ramble

An attractive and uncommon miniature map surrounded by vignettes of London's most famous landmarks: Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, The Tower, Monument, and the recently completed Palace of Westminster. Ramble added these vignettes to Miller's map of 1821, and the peculiar rendering of Big Ben suggests a projected as opposed to an actual appearance. The map was published in Reuben Ramble's "Travels In The Southern Counties Of England" - a child's guide to the country.
