An uncoloured map set in a page of Latin text, illustrating the siege and capture of a fort in Mozambique by the Dutch. The town of Mozambique had been founded by the Portuguese a century earlier, but its capture is representative of the increasing influence of Holland in world affairs. De Bry's illustration is highly informative, and yet retains a pleasing appearance through a careful attention to detail, and crisp engraving style.
