A scarce and large-scale map of all Asia with emphasis on the Pacific rim where the tracks of Cook's and Clarke's tracks into the north Pacific and Behring Straits. The name "Terres Australes" is applied to New Guinea with no other hint of Australia. A large and decorative title cartouche occupies the lower left corner and features, rather charmingly three cherubic children representing the people of the Orient, the Steppes and the Middle East. An attractive and impressive map.
