An attractive and detailed plan of Sint-Pieters-Leeuw that was published in Nicholas Tindal's continuation of Rapin De Thoyras' "History Of England" (1744-1777). The atlas primarily contains maps depicting the military actions fought by the English during the campaigns of the War of the Spanish Succession, notably in the Low Countries, but also in Spain, and was also supplemented by a series of contemporary maps - of the countries of the British Isles and parts of the wider world. The map includes a key at lower right in a decorative surround and shows the respective positions of the Duke of Marlborough's Army and the of General Auverquerque's Army. Sint-Pieters-Leeuw is located today in Flemish Brabant. With repairs to minor tears.
