Four sheets from Colonel Johann Heinrich Weiss' "Atlas De L'Europe", which was issued in parts by subscription, and which seems never to have been published in its entirety. These four sheets show the environs of Lubeck, Copenhagen, Weimar and Dresden. They are prefaced with a small, stitched cover sheet informing the subscriber that this is the eleventh part. Although "Tooley's Dictionary Of Mapmakers" has a relatively detailed listing for Weiss it does not list the "Atlas De L'Europe" and no records for this volume appear on COPAC. Perhaps the atlas suffered financial difficulties, as others had done in the past, and full publication was never realised.
