A charming miniature map of the world on Mercator's projection showing the time zones throughout the British Empire. The map was published in London in "The British Colonial Pocket Atlas. A Complete Series Of Maps Illustrating The Geography Of The British Empire" using John Bartholomew's maps. Published at the height of Empire these maps were intended to bring the geographical breadth of Empire, thus emphasising the power and status of Britain, to the reader at home.
