A detailed and attractive nineteenth-century map of the Aral Sea and Kamtchatka that was published by Archibald Fullarton in "The Royal Illustrated Atlas Of Modern Geography With An Introductory Notice By Dr. N. Shaw, Secretary To The Royal Geographical Society". Fullarton's lithograph maps often combine the increasingly accurately recorded geography of the period with lively illustration. This map is decorated with vignettes of Petropaulovski, Post Conveyance Kamtchatka, a Yurst, a Balagan, Kirghiz-Kazak, Kirghiz hunting with a falcon, and Kirghiz Females. The map was printed by A.Fullarton whose imprint appears at the bottom centre of the sheet.
