An historical map of Southern Italy, Sicily and Sardinia. The map was published in Thomas Falconer's edition of "Strabonis Rerum Geographicarum..." in Oxford. Strabo was a first century BC Greek historian, geographer and philosopher whose major work was much republished, as here, providing the reader with maps and historical detail of the ancient world. This map was engraved by T.Conder.
