A clearly engraved and detailed chart of the coast of New Guinea and surrounding islands, with the journeys of Dampier, Cook and Carteret marked by dotted lines. The discoveries of the coastlines are attributed by the use of shaded and double lines, a note on which is given. Sounded depths are given along "Cook's Track" and prevailing winds are marked by arrows. The engraver's mark appears beneath the title.
