An uncommon and attractive miniature double hemisphere World map summarising European geographic knowledge in the second half of the seventeenth century. Engraved by Liebaux for Nicolas de Fer, the map shows an island California, Australia and the Pacific after Tasman and hints at the remaining belief in a Great Southern Continent.
