This sheet of a highly detailed 24-sheet map of London was coloured to show geological detail by James B. Jordan. With street names and detail visible beneath the colour wash, this is a fascinating series showing detail of many parts of present-day London, then villages on the outskirts. The map is sheet 5 (of 24) of Stanford's largescale and magnificent "Library Map Of London And Its Suburbs". Here are St John's Wood and Maida Vale. Kilburn is also included along with parts of Kensal Green, north of the Grand Union and Willesden .
