This interesting map of China was published in "The Philips New General Atlas", George Philip & Son London & Liverpool. In the bottom left corner is a list of useful Chinese terms, translated into English. Postage stamp-size insets show outline detail of the important ports of Chusan, Amoy and Hong Kong. The map is surrounded by a distinctive and decorative piano-key border.
