Published in the "Official Railway Guide", edited by Harrison and printed in Durban by Singleton & Sons, this detailed composite of three maps describes the recent events of the Boer War activity. Particularly detailed is the central theme showing the activity around Colenso and Ladysmith in the early months of 1900. The map appeared as a supplement in a promotional guide to the country encouraging inward emigration in the wake of the political upheavals of only a few years earlier. Negligible wear at old folds but a very nice, crisp example.
