The Metropolitan Railway at the time of its greatest extent. In those days it was possible to travel with that company from the remote rural tranquillity of Brill in Buckinghamshire to the West End, or to the City and on to the commercial East End. This was the only underground company to offer Pullman cars. These coaches travelled from Aylesbury and Verney Junction to the West End and City from 1910 to 1939 and provided luxury catering for the business commuter. The British Empire Exhibition and Cup Final Stadium are shown here in large text. To verso are described various towns and villages in what the company had titled as "Metro-land." Investors and house-seekers are encouraged to buy on the various estates under construction.
