A large and unusual broadsheet published in Colchester describing, with extensive text, and, in a detailed, separately engraved and inset plan, the events of June and July 1648 when the royalist town of Colchester was besieged by Parliamentary forces under Lord Fairfax. The broadsheet was originally issued circa 1650 by Witham and has been re-engraved and issued here by Colchester printer and bookseller William Keymer. A rare and interesting item of historical significance.
