Published just after the end of the First World War. The British Empire was at its peak as indicated by the prominent use of pink to denote its territories. Insets show territorial gains by the British from Germany in Oceania, Africa and Central Europe. Further insets show details of the Suez and Panama canals, and of economic output of major exporting countries. Along the top edge, clocks indicate different time zones. This attractive map originally folded into boards, but has now been expertly restored, flattened and backed for presentation purposes.
