This attractive and detailed map of Virginia and Florida appeared in the reissue of "Atlas Minor" in 1630. This was one of the most successful atlas productions of the 1600s. The "Atlas Minor" offered by Amsterdam publisher Cornelis Claesz first appeared in 1607 in Latin text and subsequently in some six further editions before 1620, in French and German translations.
