An attractive and uncommon detailed map of Coniston Water with annotations around and vignette views of local scenes including Raven Crag, Langdale Pike and Coniston Hall. This map, along with others was an amusing product of local self-promotion, having been "Surveyed &c by P.Crosthwaite Admiral at Keswick regatta; who keeps the Museum at Keswick & is Guide, Pilot, Geographer, & Hydrographer to the Nobility and Gentry, who make the Tour of the Lakes". Crosthwaite, of course, also sold the maps at his Museum!
