A pastoral scene of the sweeping view down Cavendish Place from the common land opposite, where ladies are strolling and cattle are grazing. The engraving is signed 'engraved on steel & published by J. Hollway, 10 Union Street, Bath'. Joseph Hollway published Bath and its Vicinity Illustrated. Many of the views were also printed at the top of headed writing paper. An advertisement in the Bath Chronicle, 23 Jan 1845 read:" The original publisher of illustrated letter paper in this country, now selling sets of 24 views of Bath ".
