This detailed and pretty engraving is of a rooftop view from fields on the undeveloped hills above Bathwick. The abbey is visible in the background. In the foreground are farm sheds and shrubs, emphasising the rural nature of this area, at the other end of North Parade Bridge. The scene is dated May 9th, 1841. J & F Harwood, the publishers, are based at 26 Fenchurch Street, London. The print is from Harwood's Scenery of Great Britain , 1841-2, in 2 volumes.
