A finely wrought architectural engraving of the Cathedral with numerous figures in the foreground, engraved by a George Bickham. George Bickham, both father and son, excelled at calligraphy and engraving. Here is an imagined landscape of figures standing in front of Wells cathedral, with trees in the distance. The engraving shows a little wear to the plate and is trimmed quite close to the neatline at the right, nevertheless, very attractive.
