Mappa mondo Ovvero Descrizione Generale Del Globo : G. V. Pasquali

An uncommon and interesting map of the whole world shown on a Mercator projection. The map detail combines some precision in the delineation of Europe, Africa and Asia with some bizarre outlines for Australia, even after Cook, Arctic Canada and the north-west North American coastline. Signed by the engraver G. V. Pasquali, from an early nineteenth century Italian atlas, this map is not found on COPAC or in the British Library.
