Unusual allegorical map of the Kingdom of Estate. Ten 'satirical or allegorical ' maps appeared in F. J. J. von Reilly's now scarce Atlas von der Moralischen Welt (Vienna, 1802). The atlas consisted of a general overview of the imaginary moral world, and nine regional maps depicting distinct areas of that moral world. Six of von Reilly's maps were later re-engraved by Joseph Hesse, including this one, and reissued in K. Jurende's Mährische Wanderer in 1817. This moral allegory imagines a class-defined world with Despotic, Democratic, Aristocratic and Monarchic themes. Trimmed close the map is laid down.
