A very elegant miniature double-hemisphere map of the world. The title is balanced at the lower margin by the name of the mapmaker Jodocus Hondius; between the two hemispheres is the Hebrew, Jehovah, the name of God. Following the great success of the folio size atlases printed in the Low Countries a number of reduced size versions were published to cater for the need for lower-priced and more portable reference. Amongst these, the maps of Bertius, Keere and others followed the details of Ortelius and Mercator.
