A late printing of an attractive and detailed map. First published about 1750, this re-issue incorporates Cook's voyages and coastal details for Australia and New Zealand, hence published later in the century. The double hemisphere map stands out against a shaded background with planetary diagrams above scenes of natural phenomena and text describing each continent. Minor staining but very acceptable.
