Very scarce map of Cambridgeshire, one of only a small number of counties depicted separately in the 'Atlas Minor.' From 1607, various reduced size editions of Mercator's sequence of maps of sections of the United Kingdom had appeared in the "Atlas Minor". Jansson's edition of 1628 was no different but, in 1651 had eight maps of individual English counties added - perhaps the precursor to an English county atlas never to reach fruition? This map of Cambridgeshire is finely engraved and, here, in attractive outline colour.
