A bird's-eye view of the Nile Delta between Port Said and Alexandria, seen from the north, extending inland to Suez and Cairo. There is a very detailed inset plan of Alexandria, and a more general inset showing Egypt in relation to Western Europe. Issued with "The Graphic", August 12th 1882, to illustrate the British occupation of Egypt to protect the newly opened Suez Canal.
