The Italian edition of De L'Isle's detailed map of the Cape from Saldanha Bay to False Bay. Of special interest are the twenty Cape farmers whose estates are marked including those of Van Der Stel, Swarte Pieter and Simon De Groot. Decoration is not ignored with sailing vessels and a compass rose off the southwest coast and a charming composition consisting of the title on a masonry block surrounded by a Cape scene of animals and a native hut. One of the earliest and most decorative maps to focus on the Cape region.
