An uncommon and amusing book plate, possibly from an edition of Salmon's multi-volume "History ...", depicting a group of engravings of the interior and external views of pyramids with their construction, also "A strange fly", "A Crocodile" and "a Monstrous Fish Enemy to ye Crocodile" - these are strange looking creatures, the fish having four legs! The map shows the Nile from Cairo to the Cataracts.
