A very delicately etched celestial diagram from an Italian geography atlas of physical and political maps. Here the sky is shown with a glowing sun at its centre circled by four planets, with their own rings and, around the periphery the twelve signs of the zodiac, named and illustrated with the months and seasons. An elegant and attractive image.
