recent arrival
A stylised Cadburys / Bournville Ltd reward card depicting the River Thames and the principal towns through which it flows from source to Southend, Gravesend and Rochester. Included are artists impressions of the Source of the River Thames - Cotswold Hills, Windsor Castles and Thames and Tower Bridge. There is also a small inset map showing the position of the Thames in England. Considerable detail appears on the back of the reward card giving facts about the river and it's geography. It also mentions the role of the river in helping London's trade activity as 'the Capital of the Empire'. A very attractive item of cartographic ephemera.
