A stylised Cadburys / Bournville Ltd reward card depicting the River Clyde and the principal towns through which it flows from source to Greenock, Helensburgh and Dunoon. Included are artists impressions of the Mouth of the River Clyde, the River Clyde and Bridge, Glasgow and the Source of the Clyde. There is also a small inset map showing the position of the Clyde in Scotland. Considerable detail appears on the back of the reward card giving facts about the river and it's geography. It also quotes 'the old Scottish writer': "The roar that was in Clyde water wad feared five hundred men." Followed by Wordsworth: "For thou, O Clyde, hast always been Beneficent as strong; Pleased in refreshing dews to steep The little trembling flowers that creep Thy shelving rocks among." A very attractive item of cartographic ephemera.
