A good example of the most detailed map of the two counties to date. These two sheets appeared in John Thomson's "Atlas of Scotland" but were also sold as separate publications, and are offered here, dissected, mounted on linen in Victorian embossed slipcase. The counties are shown in great detail and extend from Loch Horn to the Murray Firth and north to Loch Broom and the Dornoch Firth; in an inset is detail of the northern part of the island of Lewis, including Stornoway, part of Ross Shire.
