Detailed survey of Havana harbour, performed by Joseph del Rio, a captain in the Spanish Navy harbour, with a detailed grid plan of Havana itself. This is an English edition of an important plan of the city and harbour by Jose Del Rio and published by the Spanish Hydrographic Department in 1798. This London edition was published by one of the leading English map / chart publishers of the period, William Faden. A rare example of the best eighteenth century plan of the capital. Right margin and paper weakness reinforced with no loss of engraved detail.
