A finely engraved and etched map of the island prepared by John Haywood for Richard Worsley's history of the island. Done at the large scale of one inch to the mile, the map is well detailed and using etched shading to indicate relief and a key to symbols for physical features both on, and off, shore. With attractive outline colouring, this example has an expertly repaired lower right border not detracting from the map's interest or visual appeal.
