A scarce and unusual chart of the Channel coasts of England from Portland, Dorset, to Beachy Head, Sussex showing the Isle of Wight and surrounding coast in good detail, and extending to the French coast and isle of Ornay - Alderney. The chart appeared in the 'Zee-Spiegel, Ofte Lichtende Colomne ..." with charts by Jacobsz Theunitz, founder of the family firm that traded under the name Lootsman. A sailing ship, compass roses and rhumb lines appear with a triple mileage scale and title cartouche along the top border.
