A very decorative map of the roads from London to the South coast between Southampton and Kent. A. E. Taylor's series first appeared in 1932 as promotional posters for Pratt's Motor Oil Company and were re-issued after their takeover by Esso at a slightly reduced scale in 1936 in "Pictorial Britain and Ireland ..." Each map is covered with vignettes and small panels of text illustrating and describing major towns and landmarks along the roads.
