An apparently rare and unusual broadsheet defining, in a triangular distance diagram precise distances form one location to another for the use of 'regulating the Post Horse Duty'. A note beneath the chart states "The Figures describe the Distances Miles Furlongs and Yards, and the Names of Places, the Roads by which the Admeasurement was taken." In addition to 25 locations in the county, London, Blackfriars and Westminster Bridges and Hyde Park Turnpike are computed. A practical and fascinating piece of ephemera published 21 years before the introduction of the postage stamp. The 'Table ....' was created by Thomas Crawter, land surveyor. A slightly aged document with added protective lower border and backed for reinforcement.
