An unusual and interesting piece of literary cartographic ephemera. Produced by The Edinburgh Geographical Institute under the direction of the Bartholomew cartographic publishers, this map was designed for a London, Midland and Scottish railway company for insertion in a tourist leaflet. Haworth, home of the Bronte family, sits at the centre of the map which extends from Burnley to Bradford and Skipton to Halifax. Very detailed, the map was produced at the large scale of two miles to one inch. Minor marginal repairs but no sign of old folds in this example which was never actually publicly distributed.
