A rare and very detailed map of the area east of the Rhine at Fort Louis with the town of Hagenau on the River Motter. Set within extensive forests the town was the scene of constant military interest being fought over by France and germany over the centuries. this map shows detail of the opposing forces in 1705 with a detailed key and clearly indicated physical terrain and natural features. Evidence of old folds but a good example.
