An attractive and interesting view of this Great British enigma. Sheep and two travellers - antiquarians? - appear in the foreground whilst in the distance a stone mason, archaeologist is chipping away at a fallen lintel. Published by George Nicol, the plate has evidence of old folds but is nevertheless, a good example.
